Atletico Madrid’s Ghanaian international midfielder Thomas Partey has been advised by his international teammate Joseph Attamah to challenge himself and move to the English Premier League this summer.
Partey has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal all reported to have an interest in the midfielder.
Partey’s current contract with Atletico runs till June 2023 with a suspected released clause of about £50 million.
The highly energetic midfielder has been challenged by Joseph Attamah to take a new challenge and move out of Spain, preferably to Premier League heavy weights Arsenal.
“I will be happy if he goes to Arsenal,” Attamah told Citi TV.
“He has done everything at Atletico and he is recognized as one of their best players.
“It’s now time for him to go to a different league and challenge himself.
“He needs people to know that he is capable of succeeding in other places and not only Spain.”
Liverpool were reported to be prepared for a swap deal between their English midfielder Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain and the Ghanaian midfielder.
The native of Krobo Odumasi has been a mainstay in Diego Simeone’s team since moving into the first team in 2015, making over 100 league appearances for them.
