Accra Hearts of Oak

Football Writer,

It has been 20 years and 11 years since one of Africa giants, Accra Hearts of Oak won Africa Champions league and Ghana premier league respectively.

This has left their vociferous fans questioning the recruitment policies of their management led by CEO, Frederick Moore. Many football enthusiasts think the team has not recruited quality players over the years to restore their “Phobia glory”.

This has left management with no option than to add six new players including three internationals to their already solid team for the current campaign.

Owing to a very good tactical decision by their coach Edward Nii Odoom, if these players are paraded without uncertain terms, their phobia glory will not only be restored locally but internationally.

1. Richard Attah
2. Fatawo Mohammed
3. Raddy Ovouka
4. Mohammed Alhassan
5. Nuru Sulley
6. Benjamin Affutu
7. Eric Dizan
8. Emmanuel Nettey
9. Abednego Tetteh
10. Joseph Esso
11. Michelle Sarpong

They have a very good bench which in any day, can change the results for the Phobia boys. Some of the players which couldn’t make Benjamin Ankomah-Appiah’s first eleven include;

Kofi Kordzi
Umar Manaf
Christopher Bonney
Frederick Ansah Botchwey
Sumaila Ibrahim
Daniel Afriyie

The phobia boys are well positioned in every department of the game to bring back the glory days but whether the team will live up to expectation is a matter of time.
