Spain based Cameroon striker, Karl Toko Ekambi has donated funds to support the search for missing Argentina striker Emiliano Sala.

Sala left France last Monday for Wales after completing a record $ 27 Million move to relegation threatened Cardiff City but the 28 year old forward and his British pilot Dave Ibbotson have not been seen since then. A search party was launched last Tuesday but it was called off after 3 days.

On Saturday after a group of Footballers around the world raised over 500 000 USD to finance a private search party.

Sports Cover an Athlete’s agency confirmed that two Guernsey-based fishing vessels are working in the area where the plane is said to have gone Missing.

Sources close to Villarreal forward, Toko Ekambi have told this Tuesday that the striker donated to support the initiative. Barcelona Star Lionel Messi,
Manchester City’s midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, Nantes head coach, Vahid Halilhodzic and Bayern Munich’s Corentin Tolisso all donated to page.

Sala’s family have insisted the search must continue and friends and well wishers should keep their hopes of seeing Sala alive.

Toko Ekambi’s goodwill gesture is a heart touching one.
