After PWD Kumba’s 1-0 loss in a friendly with league 1 side Stade Renard, coach Ngeh Carlos reiterated that the team needs the support of all and sundry in the National interpools so as to make the League 2 that has eluded the region for a while now.
The ‘thinker man’ on the mic of Kick442.com said after the game “It was a nice game. Stade Renard is a good team to play with when you are preparing for a major tournament like the National Inter-pools”.
“I think it is a nice side and I have seen some little errors in our team that we need to do some corrections on before the ‘D’ day comes”.
The gaffer laid emphasis on how hard PWD Kumba is working : “The team is not doing bad because we are camping at the Njalla Quan campus, we work twice a day, in the morning and in the evening“.
Coach Carlos was very involved in the best days of former Cameroon League 2 side Bang Bullets FC of Nkambe,he recently moved to PWD of Kumba to reinforce the technical staff ahead of the national inter-pools.

“We are making sure everything technically is put in place”.
Coach Carlos then, called on the region to put on one thinking cap: “I wish the crowd and population rally behind the the team and support the team because it is no more PWD of Kumba but PWD Southwest. The team is representing the region so let everyone rally behind the team financially, morally, spiritually, and help the team so that at least we can come back with a league 2 team”.
The coach’s call is necessary given that the Region is one of the most equipped Region in terms of infrastructures but has had no top flight or 2nd tier club in the last 3 seasons.
“It has been long that the Southwest region tasted elite football in this country”.
Since the current format of the Inter-pools was adopted more than a decade ago, just 1 Southwest club, Dynamic of Buea has been able to graduate from the playoffs to the second tier competition and even Dynamic got promoted thanks to a discretion.
PWD of Kumba won 2 games and shared the spoils in a single game in the Southwest mini Interpools. Their ‘Cinderella’ run booked them a ticket as the region’s lone representatives. The team takes the road to the city of Bertoua on Friday, where 9 other champions are waiting to have a dog fight so as to acquire 3 spots in the league 2 next campaign.
