Intermediate Lions coach at the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN), Ndtoungou Mpile says his side’s semi-final clash with the defending Champions, Atlas Lions of Morocco is a make or break match.
He alongside his first-choice goalkeeper, Hashou Kerido during the pre-match press conference at Stade Omnisports, Limbe on Tuesday agreed that Cameroon has no second chance as far as the game is concerned
“We are serene. If we got here it is because we showed a couple of things, so it’s up to us to go to the finals. It’s a make or break without a second chance.
It’s a new game, and what we wish to implement isn’t what we will unveil here. We are here to win and get to the finals by making life uncomfortable for our adversaries.” Says Coach Mpile.
Are the Moroccans the most difficult rivals you will face in the competition?
“We think everyone has a strength to bring to the table, we played against good sides like Mail and Congo but I think it will be a good game and we are determined to go through.”
What is your opinion about the press considering they’ve been very hard on you since you took charge?
“I have the impression that there’s a responsible press and the none responsible press, but I can’t speak about the methodologies.”
On Morocco refusing to camp in Limbe
“CAF should take its responsibility, we care less if they Camp in Bamenda, Garoua, etc. Our interest is to respect the rules CAF set and we simply need to remain focused in winning tomorrow.”
On message to the Limbe population and the lion’s fans entirely (in English)
” I expect the Limbe population to come out and support the team, let them join us to make history and qualify for the finals.
Yaoundé and Douala population did their best so if Limbe comes out, we are sure to win and go through.”

Cameroon’s first-choice goalkeeper, Hashou Kerido lauded the fatherly role of Coach Mpile ahead of their next game against Morocco.
He said: “He is, first of all, a father figure, and proves to be rigorous and demanding based on his tactics and we are comfortable with his approach in making us better. We owe him the qualification.”
