“We are playing the League and Cup matches to go as far as possible.” This was the declaration made by Ndip Ben Ntui, Coach of Cinyodev FA of Buea after they eliminated LIFCA and qualified for the third round of the SW Qualifiers for the Cup of Cameroon.
In a repeat of their previous encounter, it was Cinyodev FA that created an upset yet again at the Tiko Town Green Stadium on Thursday as they eliminated Limbe Football Club Association, LIFCA. Goals from Emerant Motutu Junior and Graham Bong Ajebe gave Cinyodev FA a 2-1 victory over LIFCA.
Before this meeting, both sides had faced each other in previous Cup of Cameroon qualifiers with results going in favour of Cinyodev FA, a team who seems to like playing against LIFCA.
“The game was quite interesting and it made me measure the strength of my players. I told the players to believe in themselves because all of them have the talent to play football,” Coach Ndip Be Ntui told kick442.com.”
This is the third time that Cinyodev is defeating LIFCA in the qualifiers for the Cup of Cameroon. And with victory in each of their two rounds will keep their hopes alive of participating in this year’s edition of the Cup of Cameroon, with three available tickets up for grabs in the Region.
It was a slow start for Cinyodev this football season. The team lost their first game heavily against Prisons FC in the Regional League. But after the defeat, Coach Ndip Ben Ntui has slowly gathered his pact and has gone on to win all their games played.
“In the first game, we had the issue of licenses that made us use the players from the academy against Prisons FC of Buea. We now have our licenses and we are trying to progress gradually to see how we can finish at the front,” Ndip Ben Ntui said.
In that particular encounter against Prisons FC, Cinyodev has beaten 6 goals to 0. The team since that defeat have won all their games played in both competitions.
In four games played thus far, the team has succeeded in winning three and losing one in both the Cameroon Cup qualifiers and the South West Regional League. In the first round of the Cameroon Cup qualifiers, Coach Ndip Ben Ntui and his boys defeated EEMSA 22 by six goals to 0.
