2018 World Cup winner, Kylian Mbappe has been voted the best player of the French Ligue 1 this season. He sucedes Neymar Jnr who won the award last year. The award was given by the French Players Union,UNFP.
He is the fourth Paris Saint Germain player to win the award in consecutive years after Zlatan Ibrahimovic who won the award record three times,Edinson Cavani and Neymar Jnr.
The Franco-Cameroonian born scored 32 goals and had 7 assist in 28 matches in the 2018/2019 season.
The 20-year-old forward was voted ahead of his team mates; Brazil’s Neymar Jnr and Argentines Di Maria.
Rennes Hatem Ben Arfa and 2019 Marc Vivian Foe award winner, Nicholas Pepe were also contenders for the award.
At the age of 20 and in his last 5 years the youngstar has become a pro in the game and might as well be king of France.
