Best Stars Academy of Limbe Under-18s goalkeeper Tetteh Evans Apah has been voted best goalkeeper of the 2021 Under-18 Easter Cup Patricia Berthelot.
The decision was made public post-final of the tournament on Saturday in Douala.
The 16-year old native of Idenau marveled many during the tournament keeping four clean sheets en route to the third place finish for Best Stars Academy.
Tetteh made a total of 17 saves in four matches virtually repelling everything thrown at him over the course of the tournament.
It is the second time in three months that the young custodian is being decorated in a tournament.
In 2019, he was designated best goalkeeper of the Under-16 category of the Limbe international youth tournament and in December 2020 he was named goalkeeper of the Under-18 category.
Tetteh joined Best Stars Academy of Limbe two years ago and has quickly settled in under the guidance of head coach Djoufack Saturnin and goalkeeper trainer Otia Blasius.
Noted for his fine reflexes, good ball and unimaginable penalty saving ability, the Under-17 national selection shot stopper looks destined for greatness, especially coming through an institution noted for its ability to train good goalkeepers.
The likes of Ekoi Manfred and Mohamed Yindui came through the youth teams of Best Stars Academy of Limbe and have represented Cameroon at Under-17 and Under-20 AFCON tournaments respectively.
Tetteh is Best Stars Academy first choice keeper in the Southwest Regional League championship and cup of Cameroon tournaments this season.
