Africa and the world at large have suffered from heart aching news of accidents over the years.

People wept when they got the crash of the Zambian football plane crash in 1993 in Gabon. Star player for the Chipolopolo ; Kalusha was lucky not to be on board. Chapecoense happened, and later the tragic death of Vichai, former club owner of Leicester just to name a few.

On the 14th of January, Africa said goodbye not to only a magnificent footballer, but a great person as reports suggest. The Guinea under 23 international,Desire Yaovi and his team-mates were involved in a car accident, but it was just the lad that “kicked the bucket” and the rest were brutally wounded.

Captain of the Sily National Under 23 team and vice captain of club Wakriya at 21,Yaovi was found lifeless at the scene on Monday at exactly 6 pm. The club announced that after the game with Santoba FC, the team was on the way to Boke’ when an appalling scenario occurred. The former was a great prospect for Guinean football, testament to this fact was ; his call ups to the CHAN 2018 and his spells with the under 23.
The club and family are yet to communicate the burial program, Desire Yaovi deserves to be immortalized giving the fact that he died representing his club, and there should surely be observation of a minute of silence in the CAF competitions next this week. The football fans in Africa are with Wakriya AC and Yoavi should be in the hands of the football god if there is any.
