Monday, December 14 marked the beginning of likely a long success journey for teenage Cameroonian referee Njouonang Farida.
The 16-year old took charge of the delayed match-day five fixture pitting FC Ebolowa against Amazone FAP at the municipal stadium in Nkovos on Monday.
Flanked by Odele Wikibouen and Atsama Essama as first and second assistant referees respectively, Farida displayed her A game managing the antics from the 22 footballers on show including multiple world cup stars Augustine Ejangue Sidiki Sylvia of FC Ebolowa and Ngo Ndom Anette of FAP.

It was the second time the young Referee was included in a team of match officials as she was the fourth official of the Vision Sports FC versus FC Ebolowa game in Bamenda a fortnight earlier. This time around it was a bigger fish to fry and Farida displayed her class.
Cameroon can boast of a handful of top notch professional referees respected beyond borders.
The likes of Atezambong Fomo Carine, Alioum Sidi, Ngwa Bless are amongst a handful of senior colleagues serving as inspiration for the young Farida.
Getting involved twice in five match-days of the Guinness Super League championship speaks volume and highlights the level of confidence the Guinness Super League management body has on the teenage sensation.
