Yanga SC Princess of Tanzania has unveiled three Nigerian players in preparation for the league season.
Blessing Nkor Augustine, Chioma Wogu Success, and Saiki Mary Atinuke have signed the dotted lines with Yanga SC Princess.
Former Ibom Angels forward, Blessing Nkor Augustine joined Yanga SC Princess from Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) side, Sunshine Queens of Akure.
“I am very happy to have moved to Tanzania. It’s by the grace of God. My move from Nigeria wasn’t easy and like a surprise to me. When the move was confirmed, I was speechless and excited that I will be leaving Nigeria for a foreign country. I thank God for everything.” She told www.kick442.com after her switch to Yanga SC Princess.
Blessing Nkor scored three goals for Ibom Angels in the 2020/2021 NWFL Premiership season before joining Sunshine Queens ahead of the 2021/2022 season.
“I am here to achieve my goal and succeed together with the club. It’s not easy as one needs to take a step hoping for better days ahead. I know that better offers are coming by the grace of God. This is another experience for me and another football life. Another lifestyle different from Nigeria. There is something to show up as we grow and learn on daily basis.” Blessing Nkor Augustine concluded.
Meanwhile, Chioma Wogu Success has played for Confluence Queens, Rivers Angels, and Edo Queens in the NWFL Premiership before joining Yanga SC Princess.
She has also played for the Belarusian Vysshaya Liga Women’s side, Minsk FK.
Former Falconets midfielder, Saiki Mary Atinuke who was also unveiled last week by Yanga SC Princess has played for Rivers Angels and represented Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France alongside Rasheedat Ajibade, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Monday Gift, and other players that now play for the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
