The National stadium in Da El Salam, Tanzania will this Saturday May 25th 2019 host a friendly match between the defending champions of the Tanzanian Premier League Simba Sporting Club and Sevilla FC from Spain.
The friendly is a wrap up season friendly for Sevilla before the team begin their holidays. Sevilla booked a UEFA Europa League ticket after finishing 6th on the Spanish La Liga table.
Simba SC who are defending champions of the Tanzanian Premier league will use the friendly to warm up ahead of the MO Simba Awards.
Sevilla is only the first Spanish club to visit Tanzania for a friendly match and the second European club to do so after Everton in 2017.
The friendly that is powered by SportPesa is an initiative of La Liga World to promote Spanish football all over the world, promoting La Liga clubs outside Spain, bringing La Liga closer to it’s followers and also spreading the Spanish Brand.
Sevilla got to Dar Es Salaam on Tuesday and were welcome by a wonderful display of the wonderful culture of Tanzania ahead of Saturday’s friendly.
