Tanzania 2019:U17 Lions Hit Turkey To Begin Preparations For CAF Competition
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Under 17  Lions showed off their tracksuits and kits in high definition style as they arrived Antalya Turkey, on Friday.

The lads would have a CAF competition to worry about from the 1 to the 10 of next March. The first training session was held on Friday 4 pm. This tournament would help the lads prepare for the next u17 tournament that would be hosted by Tanzania in few weeks.

Thomas Libi and his 2018 UNIFAC champions started their preparations way-back but have intensified as the clock ticks on.

A group of 30 was called up in the FECAFOOT technical center, Mehandan from the second to the 16 of February 2019. This was the second stage of preparations for Tanzania, and list most notably had Best stars academy shot stopper, Ekoi Mamfred.

The former Lion and 1990 hero, Libih Thomas made sure the second phase of camping was based on tactical and technically drilling the players. Reminiscent to the growth of the Lions U17 game was the victory they forced down the throats of Kadji Sports academy on February 17, 2019 in a friendly that ended 5-1 in favour of the baby Lions.

From the draws that were done on the Thursday, 20 of December 2018 at Dar Es Salaam, the Lions would face Guinea, Morocco and Senegal.

The lads know that worse case scenario if they are not getting the u17 trophy, then they should fight for a spot in the u17 world cup that would take place in Peru.

Giovanni Wanneh.
