27-year-old Indomitable Lionesses Tantoh Melvis Ngifor has agreed a deal in principle to return to Cameroon and play for Cameroon Women’s League One side Awa Filles of Yaounde.
The creative midfielder has spent the last three years in Nigeria where she featured for four clubs including Delta Queens where she was last season and has turned down a chance to sign a new contract.
“I think in football every action has it’s right moment and I think its the right moment for me to secure this switch”.
“It has been a great few years at different clubs in Nigeria, winning together and losing together, I have learned alot from many mates and coaches plus club administrators, I am forever grateful”
“Awa showed interest in my services, I have been convinced by their football project and I think it’s right for me to join the club in achieving it’s objectives”
The former Nasarawa Amazons and River Angels of Port Harcourt lady returns to the Cameroon top flight championship where she once played for Feminine Star of Ebolowa.
Tantoh’s entourage has agreed the terms of the said deal.
She may feature for the club this Sunday.
Tantoh was in camp with the rest of the Cameroon team ahead 2018 AWCON but she didn’t make the cut for the tournament.
Her recruitment is a great move for AWA Filles and the player though she had other offers in Nigeria.
