Ako Van Der Sloot shares Cameroon/Netherlands citizenship but has been playing at the junior set-up’s of the Netherlands since 2017.
Ako Van Der Sloot has gradually progressed from the U16’s and he’s recently gained promotion to the U18’s Dutch team.
The full-back has accumulated 17 games for the youth teams and scored once, a quiet decent record to hold in a country where talents are not lacking.
Steven Ako Van Der Sloot is a 17-year-old full-back currently plying his trade for the Ajax U19’s, after successfully completing a move from the Feyenoord youth set-up’s.
Born on July 6th 2002 in Limbe to a Cameroonian mother and a Dutch father, the right back is highly rated amongst his mates – one of the reasons why the ever productive Ajax scouting system have contracted the lad till 2022.
Steven Ako has perfected his trade since being nurtured at grassroot club Haaglandia Youths. The youngster then moved to ADO Youths in 2012 where he spent 2 seasons and was quickly snapped by Feyenoord youths for free. Ako steadily gained promotion to the Feyenoord U17’s before Ajax monitored and acquired the lad for 56 thousand Euros on July 1, 2019.
Young Ako Van Der Sloot remains eligible to wear the green, red, and yellow of Cameroon as he still a long way to being given a chance with the Netherlands senior team.
