Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Nationwide side, Royaltoms Queens defeated Makbet Queens 1-0 to win the female football category of the Inaugural Rachisols Foundation Tournament held at Emmanuel Primary School, Ojota, Lagos.
Synergy Ultimate on the other hand had an easy win with a 3-0 victory over St. Michaels Sports Club (SC) to emerge as the winners of the male football category of the Tournament.
The inaugural edition which took place on April 3, 2021, saw Synergy Ultimate Sports Club’s Adekunle Sunday emerging as the Most Valuable Player (male), while Royaltoms Queens’ Ola Olaronke was named as the Most Valuable Player (female).
Synergy Ultimate Sports Club’s coach, Dare Akanbi won the prize for best coach.
The event was Rachisols Foundation (Sports) Macro Project initiated by Sacramento Gold of United States of America (USA) player, Olajide Solomi.
The Rachisols Foundation Tournament hopes to inspire players and attendees through its vision and mission. It welcomes an opportunity for them to join the movement through partnership.
The foundation plans to have a macro project like the just concluded tournament every quarter with a megaproject set to come up later in 2021.
