Cameroonian duo Nicolas Moumie Ngamaleu and Jean Pierre Nsame of Young Boys Berne have been named in the the domestic championship team of the year in Switzerland.
Both players were decorated last night in the annual award ceremony.
Young Boys Berne dominated the team of the year with five players of theirs in the XI while FC Basel had four of their players on board with the other two players selected from FC ST Gallen.
Young Boys and their Cameroonian duo enjoyed a memorable 2019. The club retained it’s domestic League title in style with Nsame on target on 15 occasions adding to the 15 league goals he has scored this season.
The 26-year-old made a telling contribution.
On his part, Nicolas has been very performant and has provided key goals for the club.
Nsame has been named the player of the year for the first time in his career.
With 27 goals scored in 2019, Nsame was the joined third highest scoring African in Europe in the calendar year. He scored the same number of goals like Dieumerci Mbokani, Only Sadio Mane with 31 goals,Pierre Emerick Aubameyang with 29 goals did better than him.
