Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and Young Boys Bern forward Jean-Pierre Nsame has been named the Swiss Super League championship player of 2020 calendar year.
The 28-year-old retained the crown owing to his excellent performances in the calendar year in championship.
Nsame scored 32 goals in the championship, finishing the season as the lead scorer for Club and the championship.
Nsamé scored 41 goals in 46 games in all competitions in a record breaking 2019-2020 season, earning him a cult hero status in Albi as he has set a handful of records at the Club.
He also win the 2019-2020 Transfermkt player of the season award and became the first Cameroon footballer to win the prestigious award.
Young Boys won a domestic double of the League and Cup titles largely thanks to the former FC Servette forward.
The striker raised the bar highest thus explaining his choice as the Swiss Super League player of the year.
The forward’s international colleague Nicholas Moumie Ngamaleu has been named in the team of the year.
