Tiko United FC whitewashed newcomers, Termsta of Mamfe 7-0 in match day 10 of the Ongoing South West Regional League at the Tiko Town Green Stadium.
Goals from Bissong Pascal, Ekene Livinus, Agbor (OG) and two goals each from John Njoh Mwambo and Ako Asoh Alexis ensured the home boys carry the day.
The Samba boys from the sound of the first whistle pressed in the opponents side of the field and Bisong Pascal took advantage of a yet- to-be balanced defense to net in the first goal barely one minute into the game.
Ekene Livinus doubled for the host from the spot at tenth Minute after Ako Alexis from brought down in the box by the opponent’s Goalkeeper.
Without relenting their efforts of having the two goal advantage, Ako Alexis Asoh pounced on a rebounce to find the back of the keepers net from inside the box at the 35th minute, taking advantage once again from a divided back line to make it 3-0 for the first segment of the game.
Tiko United produced a stunning second-half display to thrash a helpless Termsta side and deny them a chance of Qualification as they stand the chance of been relegated back to the divisional league.
It took just one minute into the second half for John Njoh Mwambo to score the 4th against a Termsta side who seemed to have lost hope given they were already 3 goals down in the first half.
Coach Kengo Raymond brought in Ngody Jeremiah, Egbe Martin, Valery Ahmidou, Etchu Serge and Enow Leke to create more chances and goal opportunities.
Ngody Jeremiah had two glearimg opportunities to increase the goals but squandered them but then shortly after the second missed opportunity, Ako Alexis scored Again at the 57th minute to recover the lost opportunities.
A blunder from the visitors saw Defender Agbor punish his own goalkeeper in a bit to clear danger but instead netted a header at the back of his own net to frustrate the already depressed goalkeeper.
And with just two minutes left for the final whistle, John Njoh’s brace crowned the game cross’s d secured a 7-0 victory over Debutants, Termsta who risk been relegated back since they are last in the table with just two points.
This victory for the 2009 Cameroon Elite one Champions saw Fomer Avion Academy of Douala Player, Ako Alexis Asoh grab his second Consecutive Man of the Match award.
Tiko United are third in pool A with now 20 points, two points behind Best Stars and three points below leaders, Aljazeera SA of Muyuka.
The Samba boys will take on Continental FA next this weekend in Buea as they look forward to grabbing another three points as they started the second round on a good footing, recording two wins and one draw so far.
