Tiko United’s midfield maestro, John Njoh Mwambo has earned himself another Man of the Match award for a second consecutive time after his side thrashed Relegation threatened side, Little Foot FC of Tiko 3-1, in match day six of the South West Regional Championship at the Tiko Town Green Stadium this Thursday.
He was MOTM in Tiko United’s one-all draw game again defending champions Best Stars Academy of Limbe. He scored the second goal in today’s encounter.
Njoh, former Emirates FC of Dubai, Chunju FC of South Korea player and younger brother to Former Cameroon and sedan striker, Marcus Mokake, joined the club this season and has had a very impressive stat so far. A very instrumental, team spirited goal maker who reminds us of his converted-to-goal free kick again Termsta of Mamfe in Buea on match day three, though the goal was ruled out.
In today’s clash, Goals from Alain Bisse, John Njoh Mwambo and Ako Alexis ensured Tiko United maintain their lead at the top of Pool A with 13 points, condemning Little Foot FC to stay on the bottom position of the table with 1 point earned after holding Njalla Quan to a draw.
The host started brightly but found themselves a goal down at the tenth minute when Ako Alexis who was not roughly brought down in the box gave a well calculated free kick and then Alain Bisse smartly headed and it found the back of the net.
It was an unbelievable afternoon to all who watched as the Samba boys missed over eight glaring goal opportunities which got everyone wondering what really happened to them!
The boys took up from there and pressured for a second which paid off in the early minutes of the second segment of the game. It was another goal from Today’s man of the Match, John Njoh Mwambo through another header.
Ako Alexis, former Avion of Douala player took advantage of a divided defense line of his opponent who lacked concentration and communication with their goalkeeper, to net in the third goal, seconds to the end of the game making it 3-1.
Tiko United will take on Aljazeera SA of Muyuka on match day seven, last day of play in round one of the SW.
