Best Stars Academy of Limbe have defeated Tiko United by 2 goals to nil this Sunday at the Tiko Town Green Stadium in a day 9 Regional League encounter.

The game between the best of the rest in a Pool led by LIFCA started slowly with a very quiet first half.

After a very quiet first segment where both sides cancelled each other.

The game came to full life in the second segment,a well worked action from the Best Stars team was hit slightly above the head of Agbor Clinton forcing the forward to control the ball with his hand,he was booked for doing so.

Mathieu Mvondo will come close to giving Best Stars the lead in the 58th minute but his attempt couldn’t hit the target.

Minutes Otia Nestor Ombaka won a set piece in the half way line and the great ball put into the box found Ngule Luiz who opted not to shot but play-in Agbor Clinton,a timely defensive tackle cleared the danger for Tiko United FC.

A 60th minutes cross from Agbor Clinton was missed by Lyonga Jonas Ekoi but forward Mathieu Mvondo met the lose ball and gave Best Stars Academy the lead 15 minutes into the second segment.

Best Stars grew into the game showing their collective know-how though continuously lacking end product in the final third.

After the action,Tiko United will benefit from a lose ball in the Best Stars half through Berkima Derick who made a good run towards the Best Stars goal but he was brought down at the expense of a set piece.

Clovis Mebune will hit a long range drive from the 67th minutes dead ball situation in the but his shot only found the cross bar.

Prince Iko will close again in the 80th minute but his shot was deflected for a corner that will be wasted.

Best Stars captain Ngwa Leonard will be brought down but Midfielder Otia Nestor will direct the close range into the waiting hands of Tiko United’s Robert Mandanda.

Agbor Clinton in Jersey No:7 for Best Stars

In the 88th minutes Agbor Clinton from the right flank will pick Ngule Luiz in the Tiko United box and the forward slotted it into the bottom of the Tiko United net to make it 2 nil for Best Stars.

Enow Leke will come close to reducing Tiko United’s deficit at but his miss was the last action of the game.

Agbor Clinton assisted both goals in the game and was only unlucky not to score in the encounter going by the number of chances he had in the game.

Best Stars Academy are edging closer to qualification for the 2019 mini Interpol competition in the Southwest Region.
