Buea United football club was defeated one -nil by the Catholic University Sports Academy in the second round of the Cameroon cup preliminaries at the Tiko Town Green stadium.

CUSA began the game in a fast and furious manner registering their first shot on target at the 8 minute.

A Mbonde Samuel header straight went straight into the fist of goalkeeper Jeter Ewei who punched and then Robert Ndando hesitated on the rebound before Buea United cleared their lines.

CUSA continued mounting the pressure as Valery Etah’s header hit the wrong side of the net for CUSA at the 15th minute.

CUSA continued their dominance but lacked the end product in the final third. Buea United started mounting up a little fight back and a first of their queue of chances fell to Amih Renzo on the turn, but his snap shot went harmlessly wide at the 31 minute.

CUSA started the second half even more motivated until the introduction of Leonel Agbor and Mofa Bosten seemed to be profitable for Buea United.

CUSA’s hard work finally paid off just 6 minutes before the our mark courtesy of Robert Ndando’s sharp thinking after a defensive howler from the center half pair of Jimmy Njokam and Foube Dirane.

Coach Samuel Enobi Brandon and his men held on to the one – nil victory and had their goalkeeper Francis Ashu to thank for his heroics that kept his team for the remainder of the 90.
