Nine-time African Champions, Super Falcons of Nigeria moved two places to the 39th position on the FIFA Rankings released on Friday, March 25, 2022.
The first ranking for the year saw Nigeria amassed 12.97 points and a total of 1597.06 points to occupy the 39th position.
The team remains the best-ranked team in Africa after making it to the next African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Morocco.

Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon also moved up to the 52nd position on the rankings alongside side third-placed Black Queens of Ghana which also moved to the 56th position.
Banyana Banyana of South Africa dropped to the 57th position and fourth in Africa.
Ivory Coast in the fifth position also dropped to the 64th position after failing to qualify for the AWCON.
Tunisia moved up to the 72nd position and sixth in Africa.
Equatorial Guinea, Morocco, Algeria, and Mali complete the top ten ranked women’s football teams in Africa.
The next rankings is expected to be released by June 2022.
