Former Enyimba and Lobi Stars striker, Sunday Adetunji has joined Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL side, Plateau United, can report.

The player announced his signing on his Twitter handle on Wednesday.

“I’m happy to announce my arrival at this iconic club, Plateau United.
A new beginning and challenge. My home!!!”. Adetunji tweeted.

The forward who arrived Nigeria from the Czech Republic sent a heartfelt message to Plateau United and his fans.

He said: “A new beginning and challenge for me, I want to appreciate Plateau United management and coaching staff for this amazing opportunity to be part of this great family. It was fun at the FK Pribram B team in the Czech Republic while it lasts, the experience will definitely shape my future.
When I arrived Jos to sign my contact, the reception from the management and coaching staff was unprecedented and it dawns on me that I have taken the best decision of my career.

“For my family and fans, I will count on your support and prayers on this new journey. We have a target we must achieve in Jos, to win titles and ensure that Plateau United is a big force in Nigeria and Africa.”

Plateau United finished top of the 2019-2020 NPFL table after the league was cancelled after 25 games due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will represent Nigeria at next season’s CAF Champions League.

The arrival of Sunday Adetunji will boost the Club’s attack ahead of their league and continental campaign.
