The bankroller of Proud United, Mr. Jojo Duncan has taken a swipe at Ghana Football Association, GFA over their proposed change from 48 club division one to 18 club national division one league.
According to the experienced administrator, it’s not advisable to copy from another country when you don’t have a genuine reason for effecting the change.
“South Africa is different from Ghana in every aspect so we cannot go and copy exactly what they do.
We copy anyhow and want to always import intelligence from everywhere.
There is a reason we moved to a 48 team league. The GFA should give tangible reasons why we should clear off 30 DOL clubs.”Mr. Duncan told Skyy Power FM in Takoradi
He went further to say that the FA’s mode of operations seem betrayal to some of the club administrators because that wasn’t the plan of the football people.
“A lot of club presidents disagree with the move to reduce the number of DOL clubs.
They also feel betrayed. There was a trade-off that allowed the NC to go so football people will deal with the contentious issues later and find amicable solutions the football way.
The GFA has not done that but wants to force this on clubs so a lot of owners feel betrayed.
Ghana football association has proposed to move the 48 division one league which involves three zones with 16 clubs each to a national division one league which will involve only 18 clubs.
