It is no longer news that Heartland Queens and Ibom Angels have gained promotion to top-flight Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership after the conclusion of the second-tier 2022 NWFL Championship last weekend.
Some players during the 2022 NWFL Premiership distinguished themselves based on their performances.
The players’ performances and statistics were compiled by KiniScore using technology applications where top performers have been ranked by athletes’ individual match performance at the Nigerian Women Professional League Championship completed in June
2022.

Tolulope Omoniyi (Kwara Ladies)
Tolulope combines the role of a winger with a knack for scoring goals for Kwara Ladies at the 2022 NWFL Championship.
She scored four (4) goals with an assist in five (5) games for Kwara Ladies.
Her goals came in two (2) games.
She scored a goal as Kwara Ladies suffered a 5-3 to Dannaz Ladies in Matchday 2.
During her side’s 2-8 win against Beautiful Tours, Toluope Omoniyi scored a hat-trick which made her one of two players to score a hat-trick at the 2022 NWFL Championship alongside a teammate, Shakirat Moshood.

Mary Lucky (Heartland Queens)
Mary Lucky announced herself at the 2022 NWFL Championship with two (2) goals against Dannaz Ladies as Heartland Queens recorded a 2-1 win in the team’s opening game.
She followed this with two (2) goals on Matchday 2 when Heartland Queens upended Beautiful Tours Angels 2-5.
Lucky missed Heartland Queens’ third game against Moje Queens due to her second bookable offence during the match with Beautiful Tours.
Despite not scoring against Kwara Ladies and Crystal Stars, Lucky Mary showed that she is blessed with superb shooting ability and an eye for goals.

Amarachi Dike (Heartland Queens)
The former Delta Queens player was pivotal in creating the set piece for the Owerri-based side at the 2022 NWFL Championship.
The winger scored a superb free-kick for Heartland Queens against Moje Queens during Matchday 3 of the 2022 NWFL Championship coupled with an assist.
She is sure to be a player for the future as far as set pieces and wing play are concerned.


Zainab Raji (Dannaz Ladies)
Zainab scored three (3) goals with an assist for Dannaz Ladies in five (5) games at the 2022 NWFL Championship.
She scored a goal as Dannaz Ladies lost its first game 2-1 to Heartland Queens and two (2) goals as her team outsmart Beautiful Tours Angels 0-4.
A member of the Dannaz Ladies team that gained promotion from third-tier NWFL Nationwide to the Championship, Zainab is blessed with immense strength and speed.
Apart from her strength and speed, she has a good eye for goal, good one-on-one dribbling skills, shooting with both feet, and is a good team player.

Omotoke Ogunfunwa (Dannaz Ladies)
One of the players with the highest assist rate at the 2022 NWFL Championship, Omotoke Ogunfunwa is surely a player to keep an eye on in the future.
She had a combined number of five (5) goal involvement during the 2022 NWFL Championship with two (2) goals and three (3) assists.
Omotoke Ogunfunwa’s Unique Selling Points (USP) include good technique with strength in dribbling ability; a good team player with great shooting ability and a good eye for goal.

Fatimoh Solaty (Dannaz Ladies)
With three (3) goals in five (5) games at the 2022 NWFL Championship, Fatimoh Solaty contributed five (5) goal involvement for Dannaz Ladies.
Another member of Dannaz Ladies that gained promotion to the NWFL Championship from Nationwide League last year’s Fatimoh Solaty is blessed with good strength and technique.
She is talented with good passing ability, shooting, and an eye for goal.
