Cameroon Elite One side Stade Renard of Melong have completed the signing of Gildas Richard Din Njoh from Leopard Sportif of Douala for an undisclosed fee.
A number of clubs were interested in the ex-UMS and Dragon of Yaounde defender but the defender, who can also operate as a wing-back, opted to join the Melong club on a two-year contract.
Njoh spent two years at Leopard and skippered the Bana Ba Njoh to finish top of their Pool in last season’s Elite 2 championship before missing out on promotion in the playoff.
President Jean Kuete has secured Njoh’s experience and it could impact Stade Renard’s defensive problems of last season.
Din Njoh is the club’s fourth major signing this window, adding to duo Amih Renzo and Randy Ngongeh.
