The South Sudan Football Association, SSFA has opted to cancel the 2019-2020 football season with immediate effect.
This comes after the board of directors of the federation met this Wednesday at the institution’s headquarters to examine the stalemate that had embrace their league in the last two months.
**However, the federation has decided that
Alrabita Juba will be the country’s Ambassador in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.

“South Sudan will participate in Confederation Cup next Season, the Champion of South Sudan which is Alrabita Juba will be the one to represent South Sudan. And, South Sudan will not participate in the African Champion League next season” The statement read.
The decision means South Sudan becomes the 14th African nation to abandon their domestic football championship.
**The likes of Kenya and Mauritius Island were the first nations to embrace this option. Cameroon, Ethiopia, Angola and most recently Uganda have equally adopted for abandonment their domestic championship.
