Founded in 1967 on the slopes of Mt Fako, prisons football club of Buea (Home Boys) is the oldest serving amateur Club in the southwest regional championship. As preparations gather steam prior to the launch of the new regional championship fixed for December 13, homes boys are nursing the juicy ambitions of representing the SW region in the national interpoles which grants access into elite 2 professional football in Cameroon.
Kick442.com in interview with club president Mr Lifa Wills and head coach Enang Nzene Severin stated that this seasons ambition would be to also honor the memories of the clubs former honorary president Ekema Patrick Esunge (former Mayor of Buea) for whom a minute of silence was observed, passed on to Glory slightly over one year ago.
Prisons of Buea are in dicy group A of four teams that includes HO Academy, Cinyodev FA and traditional league contenders Mt Cameroon FC.
During yesterday’s regroup, players (25) of Home Boys were presented the new seasons football kit (white and blue) colors, a complete training kit (Donated By Mr Nantin Ngoa Stanislas Désire Patrick) an Engineer in Urban development, ex-footballer and supporter of the Buea based legendary Club.
