Buea United are still in search of a first league win this season after three days of play in the league.
The visitors came from behind twice to settle for a 2-2 draw in a local derby with Continental FA of Buea in one of day three matches of the South West Regional league at the Molyko Omnisport Stadium yesterday March 9th.
Continental had a plethora of chances at the start of the game. Younyi Dieudonne failed to give the home side an early lead with the forward’s shot almost on target.
Despite some few huddles, Continental FA were able to construct their play style and gave trouble for a alerted Buea United
Their pressure paid off midway into the first period. Continental’s midfielder, Betrand Eponge slotted the ball in the back of Buea United defence with Mbungkah Robert clinical enough to give his team a 1-0 advantage.
The visitors returned for the second half with much courage and self-confident to overturn scores in the favor.
Mofa Bosten scored his second of the season for Buea United to settle scores.(1-1)
One minute later, Eyong Karlson restored the lead for Continental thanks to his left foot strike which led Buea United defense helpless.
Once again, Buea United rallied themselves and got another with a fantastic strike from Emerant Ndive making it 2-2 on either side.
But Continental kept pressing from all angles with Mbungkah Robert and Youngyi Dieudonne getting a fair share of the chances.
The situation got worse for Buea United when their center back Njokam Jimmy was sent off by the referee.
Although one man down, Continental FA failed to capitalize from the numerical advantage and reestablish their lead thus recording their first win of the season.
Both teams shared points at the end with Continental picking a point at the dismay of their supporters that turned out massively to support the club.
Buea United are still unbeaten this season but have not won any of their last three games. They have played 3 games and have drawn all.
