For the second year running FC Ebolowa have been crowned Champion of the South Regional Championship for th 2022 season.
Coach Sobze Bayano sealed their qualification this Friday in their second outing of the regional playoffs following an emphatic 4-0 win over Atlantic of Kribi.
FC Ebolowa killed the game in the opening 45 minutes by scoring thrice through Atangana Henry, Atangana Pasi off an assist from Etogue plus Alex Ngani.
The crowned their victory in the second segment with a fourth and final goal from Ngani who completed his brace.
The win took FC Ebolowa’s points tally in the playoff to four – equal with Afamba Libii of Sangmelima, but FC Ebolowa qualify based on a better goal disciplinary record.
FC Ebolowa only had two bookings during the two games while Afamba Libii had four.
Joel Etogue and his Ebolowa colleagues will represent the South Region at the Interpools, hoping to better last season’s results.
FC Ebolowa joins Southwest Champions Victoria United FC in Pool B while waiting for the Littoral, East and Far North Regions to produce their champions.
The national playoff for promotion to the MTN Elite 2 championship starts on September 1 in Limbe.
