Tiba Moussassa, Takoudjou, Patrick Ndjana and Ndouban Sylvain from the penalty spot scored as last season’s champions FC Ebolowa opened the 2022 South Regional championship with a 4-0 win against Light Sports this Sunday at the municipal stadium in Nkoovos.
The experienced FC Ebolowa side that had former UMS of Loum midfielder Joel Etogue in their books were at their best in the afternoon.
Though the full time scores may suggest it was a walk in the park, FC Ebolowa was made to work as at the break they only led 1-0 thanks to a 25th minute goal from Tiba.

The result could have been completely different if not that Light Sport failed to take their chances in most parts of the second half.
FC Ebolowa killed the game in the last 15 minutes with three quick goals in the 75th minute from Tekoudjou before Patrick Ndjana and Ndouban Sylvain sealed it in the 80th and 85th minutes respectively.
The latest result is reflective of the quality in the ranks of FC Ebolowa who enter another season targeting promotion to Elite Two.
The launch of the new season in the South region is an indication of the people’s desire to see football return to the pitch.
Elsewhere in a related development, the Northwest, West, East regional League all kicked off while their Southwest counterparts completed Match-Day One.
