A club statement on Thursday announced the players situation stating he had symptoms of the virus and has been hospitalized.

He becomes the first French Ligue 1 footballer to show signs of contracting the virus since the outbreak in France.
The former Olympique Lyonnais midfielder was born in Vaulx-en-Velin, France to Central Africa Republic parents but hasn’t feature for the senior national teams of either nation.
Montpellier Hérault Laurent Nicollin and his entourage in collaboration with the medical team are doing their best to get the midfielder back on his feet.
Sambia has featured in 22 games for the club this campaign.
His situation may further fuel the argument against resumption of the domestic championships in France if not Europe.
