Nigeria’s Simy Nwankwo scored two goals for his Italian Serie A side, Crotone as they suffered a 3-2 defeat to Lazio on Friday.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic met a perfect cross from Stefan Radu deep inside the box and controlled it with a nice first touch. He produced an accurate strike into the bottom left corner in the 14th minute to give host, Lazio the lead.
Simy Nwankwo broke through before collecting a brilliant pass and produced a precise strike to beat the goalkeeper in the 29th minute for Crotone’s equaliser. The ball went into the bottom right corner.
In the 39th minute, Luis Alberto collected a pass and without hesitation fired an unstoppable shot into the bottom left corner to restore Lazio’s one-goal lead.
Crotone was awarded a penalty in the 50th minute when Mohamed Salim was penalised for tripping.
Simy Nwankwo sends an unstoppable penalty past Pepe Reina into the bottom left corner to make it 2-2.
Four minutes from full time, Felipe Caicedo received a delightful pass inside the box and smashed a precise shot inside the left post to win the game for Lazio.
Simy Nwankwo played for the duration of the game as he has scored 12 goals in the league in 27 games this season.
Crotone remained at the bottom of the league with 15 points in 27 games
They will host Bologna in their next league game on March 20, 2021.
