Simy Nwankwo scored two goals in the course of Crotone’s 3-4 away win over Parma in the Italian Serie A on Saturday.
Lisandro Magallan had given Crotone a 14th-minute lead before Hernani equalised for Parma in the 29th minute.
In the 42nd minute, Simy Nwankwo received a delightful pass inside the box before slotting the ball past Parma goalkeeper to restore Crotone’s lead.
Algeria’s Adam Ounas made it 1-3 for Crotone in the additional minutes of the first half.
After the interval, two goals in the space of five minutes from Gervinho and Valentin Mihaila leveled the scoreline at 3-3.
A penalty awarded to Crotone was converted in the 69th minute as Simone Colombi gets a hand on the penalty from Simy Nwankwo but can’t stop it from flying inside the bottom left of the post.
Simy Nwankwo with 19 goals and two assists is the third leading goal scorer in the Italian Serie A behind Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo (25), and Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku (21).
Crotone occupied the 20th position and continue to swim inside relegation waters with 18 points from 33 games.
They will welcome league leaders, Inter Milan in their next game on May 1, 2021.
