Silver Strikers beat Chitipa United 2-1 on Sunday to remain on top of the elite TNM Super League.
Winger Duncan Nyoni and Patrick Macheso scored for Silver whereas Emmanuel Muyira pulled one back for the 14th-placed Chitipa
Silver have 31 points from 13 games, six points ahead of defending champions, Nyasa Big Bullets, who have 25 points from 12 matches.
Bullets are on second place followed by Civil Service United who have 24 points from 13 games.
Civil saw their 12-game unbeaten run end at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre where they lost 2-1 to Bullets.
Bullets came from behind to beat Civil 2-1 in the first-round match played on Saturday afternoon.
Left-back Precious Sambani scored the winner with two minutes to full-time after seasoned Chiukepo Msowoya had cancelled out Muhammad Sulumba’s opener for the Lilongwe-based Civil.
There is now no unbeaten team in the Malawi top tier league in this 2020/21 season.
In another games, Blue Eagles came from behind to settled for a 1-1 draw with Mafco on Sunday.
Eagles moved two places up to 12th place with 13 points from 12 matches.
Elsewhere, Moyale Barracks FC made it three wins on the trot when they beat bottom-placed Mzuzu Warriors 1-0 at Mzuzu Stadium also on Saturday.
Lloyd Njaliwa scored the only goal of the game for the ninth-placed Moyale who have 18 points from 13 games.
Warriors have now lost over three consecutive games. They have eight points from 12 games.
Elsewhere, Gregory Nachipo scored as Kamuzu Barracks edged out Chitipa United 1-0.
