Leon Stars of Sierra Leone and Lesotho national football team played out a goalless draw in their 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group L Qualifiers at the Setsoto Stadium, Maseru on Saturday.
Both sides failed to find the back of the net after Lesotho gaffer, coach Senong effected changes in a bid to change the tide of the game.
Masoabi Nkoto replaced Tumelo Ngatane. Black Leopard’s forward Tumelo Khutlang took the place of Bloemfontein Celtic’s Sera Motebang.
Other changes effected by coach Senong include Tsepo Toloane for Bantu’s midfielder, Lehlohonolo Fothoane, and Litsepe Marabe replacing Neo Mokhachane.
Sierra Leone coach, Kiester didn’t make any substitution in the course of the game.
The result ensured that Lesotho remained at the bottom of the group with three points from five games while Sierra Leone occupied the third position with four points from five games.
Super Eagles of Nigeria with eight points and the Squirrels of Benin thus sealed their qualification for the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon with two games to spare.
Both teams will square up in their fifth Group L game later on Saturday.
