The multiplayer provisional squad of 37 has now been cutdown to a final list of 23 for Cameroon without usual suspects.

Like other countries preparing to conquer Africa just a little over a fortnight from now in thr upcoming AFCON to be held in Egypt, holders, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have pushed forth a 23-man final list without 27-year-old goal-hunter, Vincent Aboubakar_the man who almost singlehandedly scored a superb winner against Egypt when the Lions leapfrogged the Pharaohs in Gabon 2017 to win a 5th Continental trophy.

It is not only Vincent Aboubakar who is absent from Seedorf’s 23 troops. Other names like Steve Mvoue, who captained the U17 Lions to glory in Tanzania has been left out; maybe for him to go through a complete training curve, while most productive striker called up in the list of 37_jean Pierre Nsame is nursing an injury, same like Vincent Aboubakar explaining their non appearance’ on the list.

Several players are headed to Egypt to represent the national colours for their first time in the AFCON finals: LA Masia graduate and Real Betis metronome, Wilfrid Kaptoum has a chance to finally live up to the expectations for country in at the Continental stage. Andre Onana equally makes the list most probably as a preferred number 1 ahead of AFCON 2017 goal keeper of the tournament, Fabrice Ondoa who is set to be a second choice.
