Former Dragon Football Club captain and Cameroon Under-23 international Serge Yvan Ekollo Malolo might be out of sight, but has still got his lovely, silky playing style going in Europe.
The 22-year-old was acquired by Astra Giurgiu last campaign after a sublime time with Cameroon first-tier side Dragon FC, where he was the league’s joint top scorer along side Cotonsport’s Daouda Kamilou with 10 goals.
After a brief stint with Astra, Malolo was loaned out to Romanian second-tier side Dunarea Calarasi to get himself better acquainted with the brand of football in Romania and equally have chunks of playing time.
The craftsman has since then thrived in his role playing as a second striker, providing 9 assists and three goals in 17 appearances.
Ekollo Malolo’s hand in 12 goals this season has helped Dunarea Calarasi to 11th spot and 27 points, with 19 more games to play.
Ekollo and co travel off to play 8th placed Petrolul on February 22nd keeping in mind that they’re playing 8 points catch-up to 3rd place Rapid Bucuresti, to try and regain their top-flight status lost just last season.
