Serengeti Boys share the spoils with Rwanda Under 17

Six goals were on display to impress the excited crowd at the Stade Regional De Kigali on Wednesday afternoon as Tanzania U-17 and their Rwandan counterparts thrilled their fans.

The exciting Rwandan side appeared to be running way with it when they scored two early goals through goals through;Henson Rutonesha & Keddy Nsasimfura made it 2 nil lead 20 minutes into the game.

John Edmond dragged Tanzania back into it with a brace. He scored the first just before half time before adding another to take his tally to 3 goals in games.

Tanzania took the lead again through Edson Mshirakandi in the 83rd and wereheading towards victory until Rodrigue Isingizwe equalized for Rwanda in additional time in the 6 goals event.

The invitational tournament organized by the Rwanda Football body, FERWAFA and BINEWA Sports Management attracted Rwanda, Tanzania and Cameroon. The Cameroon U-17s beat Rwanda 3-1 in the opening match before Rwanda beat Cameroon 2-1 in the second game.

The Serengeti Boys and the baby Lions used the tournament to prepare ahead of the U-17 Total Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) slated for April 14-28th in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
