The Executive Committee members of the Senegalese football federation have agreed to truncate the 2019-2020 football season with immediate effect.
This comes four months after the different national championships were suspended just after the outbreak of the CoronaVirus pandemic in the West African nation.
The decision was made public this Tuesday, July 8, after sufficient talks with stakeholders of the different competitions.
The decision means Senegal becomes the 25th African nation to abandon their domestic football championship since the outbreak of the the CoronaVirus rife.
The 2019/2020 Senegal Ligue 1 season ends with no winners, no Club will be relegated, there will be no promotions of Clubs from the second tier Championship.
Table toppers at the time of suspension, Teungueth FC who were leading before the punctuation and runners-up at the time ASC Diaraf will represent in the 2020-2021 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively.
