Barely 9 days after 16 year old Cameroonian winger Ismaila Seidou was in the Hospital in Dar Es Salaam for treatment after he had sleepless night due to tooth Ache, The International FC wonder kid has come off the bench on Wednesday at the Azam complex in Dar Es Salaam to put two pass Morocco and send Cameroon to their first the 2019 World Cup Tournament to be played in September and October in Brazil.
Seidou’s brace gave him the Total 2019 U-17 AFCON man of the match award and he became the second Cameroonian player to pick the prize following the steps of Steve Mvoue in the first game.
Seidou was left on the bench against Morocco after his near full involvement in Cameroon’s first game but his introduction in the 66th minute of play changed things for Cameroon and his brace in less than 30 minutes meant he has scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists in his last 3 games for Cameroon adding to his goal and assists against Intare in Kigali.
Ismaila is still to hit his peak given that he missed close to a month of Cameroon’s preparation for this Tournament due to injury and only return to action towards the end of Cameroon’s preparation in the FERWAFA & BINEWA Sports Management tournament in Kigali.
“I thank my coaches and my team mates am happy that I scored and we won,now we have qualified for the World Cup but I am happy we also made a good Morocco side realize that we are Lions,we never go down without a fight” Ismaila told the media after the game.
Seidou’s brother Aboubakar Sidiki was involved for Cameroon in the 2017 Competition in Gabon
