Former president if Racing football club of Bafoussam Samuel Wembe has died aged 73.
The one time president of Racing in the early 2000’s and current executive committee member of FECAFOOT has serve in different capacities in the sporting industry in Cameroon and abroad.
His demise was announced this Sunday by family sources without stating the cause of his demise.
Multiple sources are reporting that he died in Douala after failing to respond to Covid-19 treatment, a situation we can’t independently confirm.
“May the soul of Mr Wembe Samuel rest in perfect peace and in the lords bosom. A perfect gentleman and a great sponsor and lover of the beautiful game. I spend two nights in his hotel, Ino hotel, in Bafoussam in 1999 as he wanted to sign me for TPO. I have good memories og our encounter, Cameroon has lost a great football mercenary” Ex Cameroon international Che Sampson wrote on social media.
He was once the president of the West Regional League of FECAFOOT.
He leaves behind the huge football and the political family to mourn him as he was also famous in politics.
