Legendary Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto’o Fils was one of the guest in the stands on Wednesday in Yaounde where an unconvincing display from the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon fetched them a disappointing goalless draw against Cape Verde Islands in the first outing in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.

Eto’o was spotted in the VIP stands alongside other top football dignitaries in the country.

It is the first time Eto’o is appearing in public in Cameroon since he announced his retirement from football in August this year.

The former Barcelona and Inter Milan star is expected to be the subject of attention this Thursday as he has been drafted on the scheduled of four top Television channels (Canal 2,Vision 4,CRTV and STV2) in Cameroon this Thursday evening.

Eto’o is expected to discuss his successful football career amongst other things in a show to be broadcast by the above mentioned .

The 38-year-old scored 56 goals in 118 senior appearances for the senior national team of Cameroon before quitting international football five years ago.

The lions travel to Rwanda this weekend for their second outing in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.
