Fresh from winning the 2020 UNIFFAC tournament, Equatorial Guinea’s captain Salome Nke has expressed her desire to continue winning medals for her country.
The Cameroonian-born Guinea international has cemented her place in the hearts of football lovers in her newfound home.
Just when a few started raising doubts about how long she can go again, the two times African champions has reacted in the best possible manner.
The 30-year-old defender/forward scored four goals and emerged as the MVP in the recent UNIFFAC tournament helping her nation to win the trophy on home soil.
Speaking to kick442.com nearly week after her latest success for country she dismissed claims of quitting soon.
“It is the senior national team of my country,the most performant Guinean players are playing in this team, I am feeling well and happy to play so I will carry on”: Salome stated.
It has been an exceptional last 12 months for the Futuro Kings lady. She ended the season as her club’s lead scorer and backed home the domestic league title.
Salome has ended her party of the UNIFFAC success and return to club where she is keeping fit ahead of further responsibilities.
It has been a glittering career for the goal-getting defender and there are signs she is not stopping soon as her hunger for success continues growing.
