Premier league side Aston Villa FC are preparing themselves for their second attempt in landing 24-year-old Algerian winger Said Benrahma currently on the books of English championship side Brentford.
Current Villa boss, Dean Smith attempted to get the ex OGC Nice man in January but failed.
Speaking to “The Insider” recently Dean has openly expressed his admiration for the ex SCO Angers midfielder.
“He is a great player, he has already displayed his potentials to us. It is going to be a great signing if he joins us”:Dean stated.
A move to the Villa Park will place the versatile midfielder in good company as his compatriots Mahmoud Trezeguet and Hamed El Ghazi are already on the books of the Birmingham club and have been impressive since their arrival.
Benrahma joined Brentford from French side Châteauroux on a four-year-deal in 2018 and has gone on to score 20 goals in 72 appearances for the club.
The winger has scored 10 goals and provided seven assists for Brentford this season.
The one-time Gazélec Ajaccio forward is rated at 20 millions Euros, an amount which Villa can pay.
The Algerian international made his debut for the Desert Foxes in October 2015. Three games into his “baby” international career, he is still running behind his first international goal for the current African champions.
