Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid are still keeping tabs on Senegalese and Liverpool forward Sadio Mane as they look to strengthen their team ahead of next season.
Real were reported to be keen on French forward Kylian Mbappe, but the young Paris Saint-Germain forward seems to be a difficult target this summer, so the Merengues have now turned their attention to their more than able plan B, according to reports from Le 10 Sport.
Mane has been a longtime target for Real Madrid as the former Southampton forward continues to blossom under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
The native of Seidhou has scored 14 goals and provided 7 assists in 26 Premier League games this season for the current league leaders.
Mane has totaled 59 goals in 118 league appearances for the Reds since joining them in 2016 from Southampton and the former Metz and Red Bull Salzburg forward has been an integral part of Jurgen Klopp’s team.
He will be a valuable addition to Real Madrid, though Liverpool will be looking to tie him down for a long time as his current contract expires in June 2021.
Real will reignite their interest in Mbappe next summer but are looking for immediate addition to their frontline and have set their sights on the 28-year-old Senegalese.
