Rwanda Giants Rayon Sports FC settled for a 1-1 draw in action against Uganda
outfit URA FC in an international friendly.
In a game played at Nyamirambo Stadium, Kigali, it was a tight clash as the two sides shared the spoils in Kigali.
The first stanza ended goalless as no side found the back of the net but 3 minutes into the second stanza the Blues of Rwanda got a goal through Esaluwe Raphael which was cancelled out late by Mbowa Paul Patrick in the 78th minute.
Rayon Sports are known to have hosted also Uganda Giants Vipers SC last month in a game they lost 1-0 are having a series of friendlies.
The Nine Rwanda League Champions were supposed to play Kenya Police FC but the game was called off due to FIFA sanctions currently on Kenya thus setting an encounter with Uganda Outfit URA FC.
The Rwandan giants are expected to play Tanzania outfit Singida Bright Stars FC in another international friendly next week after the game.
According to Rayon Sports, the friendly games are expected to help the Blues prepare well for the new season and also raise money to pay a FIFA penalty that was a result of sacking Frenchman Djilali Bahlou in a manner that breached their contractual obligations.
