Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side, Royal Queens Football Club of Warri have unveiled Ogbonna Whyte as the new Head Coach of the club for the 2021/2022 NWFL Premiership season.
Whyte, a former Confluence Queens, Rivers Angels, and Ibom Angels tactician has been tasked with the responsibility of qualifying the team for the Super Six.
Coach Whyte during his unveiling said his target is the super Six and CAF Women Champions League for the club.
“I think my target of coming here is to ensure that we write the name of Royal Queens in the female league this season and our target is that we qualify for the Super Six.” Says Coach Whyte.
Whyte guided Ibom Angels to back to back Aiteo Cup final where they narrowly lost to Rivers Angels on two occasions.
Coach Ogbonda last led Osun Babes to a third-place finish at the 2021 Flying Officers Cup women’s football pre-season tournament in Abuja.
Royal Queens will be on the road to Bayelsa Queens when the league resumes next week.
