Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL Premiership side, Royal Queens of Warri, Delta State has remembered the team’s first competitive game vs Moje Queens, www.kick442.com can report.
In a post on the club Facebook page, Royal Queens recalled the club’s Aiteo Cup 3-2 win over Moje Queens of Kwara State which took place on June 12, 2019.
Throwback to our first ever competitive game as a Football Club.
On June 12 2019 Royal Queens played their first-ever competitive game against Moje Queens in the Aiteo Women FA Cup Round of 25 at the Akure Township Stadium.
The game ended 3-2 in Favour of the Canadian Geese.

Royal Queens which was established on January 17, 2019, represented Delta State in the 2019 Aiteo Cup where the club got to the Round of 16. The club knocked out Moje Queens 3-2 on penalties after playing a goalless draw.
In less than a year of the establishment of the club, the Canadian Geese gained promotion to top-flight, NWFL Premiership in October 2019 after clinching the NWFL Pro-league title with maximum nine points from three games without conceding a goal.
Women’s football enthusiasts in Nigeria anticipates the club’s debut season come September/October 2020 when the 2020-2021 NWFL Premiership season is expected to kick-off according to a recent release from the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF and NWFL.
